The Prayer Shawl Ministry at Glen Burnie United Methodist Church is a caring ministry of love, prayer, and compassion. Members knit and crochet prayer shawls and other handmade items that are given to people who are grieving, ill, recovering, homebound, or simply in need of encouragement and comfort.

Each shawl is made with prayer and care, serving as a visible reminder of God’s love and the support of the church family. These gifts wrap recipients in warmth, hope, and the assurance that they are not alone.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets on the second Tuesday of each month in Room 60, located near the parking lot. All are welcome, whether you are experienced with knitting or crocheting or would like to learn.
